Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ONE PIXEL TECHNOLOGY LIMITED (“Vireos”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the Vireos websites, Android app, and related services (together, the “Service”).

1. Who we are and how to contact us

The Service is operated by ONE PIXEL TECHNOLOGY LIMITED.

Privacy questions: support@vireos.net
Formal data-protection requests: legal@vireos.net

When you contact us, please include the email address or account identifier associated with your Vireos account so we can locate and verify the relevant records.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account and profile information

When you create or use an account, we may collect:

  • Email address.
  • Display name, username, biography, avatar URL, and profile metadata you provide.
  • Password authentication data. We do not store your plain-text password.
  • Third-party sign-in data when you choose a social sign-in method, such as Google, Apple, or Facebook. For Facebook Login, this may include your Meta app-scoped user ID, name or display name, email address if provided, profile picture URL or avatar metadata if provided, and authentication token data needed to verify your sign-in.
  • Internal user ID, guest account ID, access tokens, refresh tokens, and session metadata.

We do not receive or store your Facebook password, Google password, or Apple password.

2.2 Device and app identifiers

The Android app creates a random app-specific device UUID and stores it locally on your device. The app may send this UUID to our servers to support guest access, account continuity, abuse prevention, service security, and playback synchronization.

The Android app may access the Android Advertising ID or similar device identifiers where permitted by your device settings, consent choices, and applicable law.

2.3 App activity and viewing data

We collect app activity needed to operate the Service, including:

  • Titles, drama IDs, episode IDs, channel IDs, and content metadata viewed or requested.
  • Playback progress, watch history, continue-watching records, and time-left indicators.
  • Favorites, saved dramas, likes, and similar in-app actions.
  • Search terms entered in the app when they are sent to the Service.
  • API request metadata, such as timestamps, IP address, endpoint, response status, and diagnostic information.

Some app activity, such as local cache and local search history, may be processed only on your device unless it is sent to the Service for account synchronization or support.

2.4 Support and communications

If you contact us, we collect the information you provide in the request, such as your email address, message content, screenshots, device details, and any other information needed to respond.

2.5 Payments and subscriptions

Vireos may offer paid digital content, subscriptions, VIP access, coins, or similar paid features. Where required by platform rules, purchases of digital content or digital features in the Android app are processed through Google Play Billing or another payment method permitted by applicable platform policies.

When you make a purchase, we may receive and process purchase-related information, such as product ID, subscription plan, transaction status, purchase time, renewal status, expiration date, order reference, entitlement status, refund status, and subscription period.

Full payment credentials, such as your complete card number or payment account password, are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by Vireos.

We use purchase information to provide paid features, verify entitlements, manage subscriptions, process refunds or support requests, prevent fraud, maintain accounting records, and comply with legal and platform requirements.

2.6 Ads and marketing

If the Android app includes ads, advertising measurement, or personalized advertising features, we may use advertising SDKs and consent-management tools such as Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP).

Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and app configuration, these tools may process:

  • Advertising ID or similar device identifiers.
  • IP address, device information, app information, approximate region inferred from network data, and diagnostic data.
  • Ad views, ad interactions, frequency capping, fraud-prevention signals, and consent status.
  • Consent strings, privacy choices, and signals used to determine whether personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or limited ads may be requested.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we use a Google-certified consent management platform where required for Google ads. For U.S. state privacy choices, we provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” path and ad privacy choices where applicable.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and manage accounts.
  • Provide guest access and sync account state across sessions.
  • Deliver short-drama content, playback, recommendations, and continue-watching features.
  • Store and sync favorites, likes, saved dramas, and watch history.
  • Maintain service security, detect abuse, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot errors.
  • Respond to support, privacy, copyright, refund, and account-deletion requests.
  • Improve app reliability, performance, and product quality.
  • Comply with laws, platform rules, tax requirements, accounting requirements, and lawful requests.

We do not sell personal and sensitive user data.

4. Sharing information

We share information only as needed for the Service and for lawful purposes:

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, deliver APIs, store content, provide video delivery, send email, process support requests, analyze operational logs, or help secure the Service.
  • Payment processors and app-store platforms when paid features are offered.
  • Third-party sign-in providers, such as Meta when you use Facebook Login, only as needed to authenticate your sign-in and manage the connection.
  • Advertising, measurement, and consent-management partners when the app includes ads or advertising measurement, subject to your consent choices and applicable law.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and legal representatives.
  • Authorities, courts, regulators, or rights holders when legally required or when necessary to protect users, rights, safety, or the Service.
  • Successors or acquiring entities if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.

Service providers process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

5. Security

We use technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, access controls, and backup and retention controls.

No online service is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure and for contacting us if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Typical retention periods are:

  • Account and profile records: for the life of the account, unless deletion is requested.
  • Playback, favorites, watch history, likes, and personalization records: while the account is active, unless deleted or reset.
  • Authentication tokens: until replaced, expired, or cleared.
  • Support requests: normally up to 3 years after the request is resolved.
  • Security, fraud-prevention, and server logs: normally up to 180 days, unless a longer period is needed for investigation, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
  • Payment, tax, and accounting records: as required by applicable law and platform rules.
  • Backups: deleted records may remain in encrypted or access-controlled backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

If we retain limited information after account deletion, we do so only for legitimate purposes such as security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcing our agreements.

7. Account and data deletion

If the app allows account creation, you may request account deletion from within the app where available and from the web resource at:

https://vireos.net/account-deletion

You may also contact legal@vireos.net with the subject “Account Deletion”.

When we delete an account, we delete or de-identify account data associated with that account, including profile data, authentication records, favorites, likes, saved dramas, and watch history, except where retention is required or permitted for legitimate reasons described in this policy.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, or object to certain processing of your information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

If the Android app includes ads, you may manage ad privacy choices from the app where available. Depending on your region, this may open the Google User Messaging Platform privacy options form or another certified consent-management flow.

U.S. state privacy requests, including “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”, can be submitted from:

https://vireos.net/privacy-choices

To make any other privacy request, contact legal@vireos.net with the subject “Privacy Rights”. We may verify your identity before completing the request.

9. Children and age restrictions

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account or submitted personal information, contact legal@vireos.net so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Third-party links and content

The Service may include links to websites, video resources, payment flows, app stores, or support resources that we do not operate. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Service, by email, or by updating the effective date on this page, as appropriate.
