After a bizarre car crash, PTSD veteran Noah wakes up with five strangers in an ordinary-looking town. As night falls, the town turns into a terrifying purgatory with bleeding walls and lurking ghosts. A mysterious voice called "The Adjudicator" lays down the rules: they are trapped in seven layers of American nightmares, each modeled after classic horror scenes—haunted mansions, brutal chainsaw massacres, witch sacrifices, ancient tombs and alien parasites. Only the living may advance at dawn; if all perish, their memories reset, trapping them in an endless car-crash loop. As companions die one after another, Noah uncovers clues with his battlefield instincts, only to find every puzzle tied to his repressed memories. In the sixth layer, an abandoned asylum, the truth unfolds: it is no supernatural game, but a subconscious prison formed during his coma. The five strangers are the comrades he failed to save in combat. After the last companion turns to ashes, Noah faces his ultimate fear—the seventh layer, the deadly battlefield that claimed his brothers-in-arms. Instead of fleeing, he sacrifices himself bravely against the monstrous abomination. Back in reality, he slowly opens his eyes in a military hospital. Bathed in sunlight, he picks up his comrades’ photo and whispers a belated apology. Scarred but redeemed, he finally embraces the real world.
