Jack, a washed-up adventure blogger, joins an isolated island survival live show to regain fame. On the first night, scaled humanoid creatures appear. A cameraman is dragged away, and all communications are cut off. Jack realizes everyone will die unless they uncover the truth and find a way out. Producer Victor acts eerily calm, secretly manipulating contestants into turning against each other. Jack leads the group to search for the radio tower. Along the way, they find experiment logs in a sunken wreck and incubation chambers beneath the lighthouse. The monsters are not natural creatures, but failed products of illegal genetic experiments by the consortium behind Victor. The reality show is actually a live observation experiment using humans as bait. When Jack finds a speedboat to escape, the fuel tank is sabotaged. His trusted teammate Mia goes missing, leaving only a bloodstained camera behind. He understands Victor cares not about who survives, but who will turn into a monster in despair. Jack abandons the naive hope of saving everyone. Instead, he hunts the mastermind. He reverses the live stream signal, broadcasting the full truth of the experiment to global audiences, and lures the monster horde into the control center. Beneath the burning lighthouse, Victor is killed by his own creations. Jack leaves the island with a hard drive holding the consortium’s crimes and rises to real fame as a blogger. Yet as he spots another flash of scales beneath the waves, he knows the nightmare is far from over.
